Juan Esteban works in the areas of Natural Resources, water law, mining, environmental issues, and community engagement. He also has proved experience in real estate matters advising client in different transactions.

Additionally, Juan Esteban has vast multidisciplinary experience both in the public and private sector. He served as Legal Advisor of the General Directorate of Water of the Chilean Ministry of Public Works between 2013 and 2014, and worked as In-house lawyer of mining companies and private law firms. Juan Esteban also worked as intern at the Integrated Planning Team of Melbourne Water, which is the entity responsible of water management in the government of the state of Victoria, Australia. His academic research was centered in matters related to the Integrated Water Management and its relation with extractive activities.

Juan Esteban has a Master degree in Environmental Management and Sustainability of Monash University, graduating with High-Distinction.
